Bruno Girard is an experienced boxer who relies on his boxing skills more than his punching power.  Girard has only 7 knockouts in his 48 career fights, but is a superb technical fighter and picks apart his opponents.  In March of 2001, Girard was stripped of his WBA Super Middleweight title because he refused a rematch with Manuel Siaca.  Girard said the purse wasn't high enough, but one has to question his motivation.  Girard recently moved up to Light Heavyweight with a win over Lou Del Valle which got him a number one contender spot.  While waiting for a possible shot against Roy Jones Jr., Girard took on undefeated prospect Mehdi Sahnoune.  Girard was stopped in the 7th round in that fight and now, at 32, is at a major crossroads as to where his future will take him.  Staying active and taking a couple easier tune up fights should be the right medicine.
