Keitaro Hoshino is another typical Far East fighter who has not fought outside of his home country throughout his career.  Hoshino has very little power and depends on his average boxing skills to beat his opponents.  As BoxingGurus.com predicted, Hoshino did not hold his first, nor second, world titles very long as he got out pointed by Chana Porpaoin and Joma Gamboa, respectively.  Recently, Hoshino received two other title shots, both against Noel Arambulet.  Hoshino lost a close decisions in both, but was fighting not a great champion by any means.  Hoshino needs to take a few fights against lesser competition to get himslef better prepared to win a title fight and thus hold on to the title.
