William Joppy rebounded nicely from
his horrendous effort against Felix Trinidad back in May to beat top Middleweight
contender Howard Eastman. Joppy still looked like he was effected from
the beating he took from Trinidad as he seemed to have very little legs left
under him. He was put down at the end of the 12th round that almost
cost him the fight. Joppy is technically the WBA Middleweight champion,
but only because of some outragous policy change that moved Bernard Hopkins
to a "super champion". BoxingGurus.com will not recognize that policy
change. Most recently Joppy remained active easily beating overmatched
Naotaka Hozumi. |
