Celes Kobayashi won his first world title in his second attempt.  In his first attempt, Kobayashi fought to a draw against now former WBC Flyweight champion Malcolm Tunacao.  Kobayashi, who lost 2 of his first 5 fights, rebounded nicely and won a world title by knocking out Leo Gamez. Unforunately, he was only able to defend his title once before suffering a brutal loss to heavy fisted Alexander Munoz.  Kobayashi will most likely not get another title shot and even if he does, he would be a considerable underdog.
