This is a much anticipated Super Middleweight unification bout between IBF
champ Sven Ottke and WBA champ Byron Mitchell. Many critics have long
complained that Ottke sits over in Europe and doesn't fight the top
competition, well Ottke will try to silence those critics Saturday night.
Ottke, a skilled boxer with a soft punch, has been a world champion for over
4 years and has successfully defended his title an amazing 16 times.
Mitchell, known for his power, has been inactive as of late only fighting
once in the past 18 months. Taking that into account, plus the fact the
fight is taking place in Ottke's hometown, BoxingGurus.com see Ottke
unifying the titles and coming out victorious. Ottke will use his much
superior boxing skills to frustrate Mitchell and use his slick defense to
stay away from Mitchell's power shots. Ottke might get knocked to the
canvas, but he will be able to build up enough points, that if he is able to
make it through the fight, he should win an easy decision.
